Monitoring — We are currently preparing a post-mortem for this outage. As the issue has occurred at a provider above us, full details will not be available for approximately 24 hours. We can confirm there was a outage of most Auckland based services from 12:25:59am until full restore at 1:59:09am to a total of 1 hour and 33 minutes. Initial indications show that there was a failure of A+B power at 220 Queen Street, a core datacenter, which affected the rack of an upstream provider, leading to loss of connectivity from the TQ network to the outside world. All TQ routers, servers and systems remained online and were not affected by this outage. As per our procedure, we will continue live monitoring for 60 minutes from restore, until 3:00am NZST, after which we will revert to standard monitoring protocols.
